This program includes full online support via the website and Piano Padlet which allows students to engage with the content through videos, recordings, online exercises, and individual discussions with Mr. Keys throughout the week.
Classes are available for grades 1-6! Students follow a highly structured curriculum built from high-quality methods while also incorporating fun supplemental pieces, games, online activities, and more!

Your Teacher -- Kingsley Keys
Hello! My name is Kingsley. I’m a music educator with three decades of experience and nearly one thousand hours of teaching online.
Imagine in just 9 months your child will be able to read music, understand technique and rhythm, play songs, and know how to improvise! Nine months from now your child will have completed Level A piano and have obtained improvisation and playing by ear skills.
As a virtual school music teacher (grades 3-12), band director, piano teacher, and performer, I thrive on instilling these same skills and passions into your kids!
What does a typical group lesson look like?
Group piano classes are highly structured to make the most of our time together – AND so we have time to have FUN together, too! Here’s a rundown of a typical online group class:
- Log in and begin call-and-response with rhythm sticks – a fun way to reinforce today’s written rhythm and internal beat in a fun way! (3-4 minutes).
- Teach and reinforce new concepts through games and activities (7 minutes).
- Play along with specific page numbers (15 minutes).
- Questions, feedback, demonstration (5 minutes)
- Improvisation – We end each less with a few minutes of learning to “play by ear” and improvise on the piano. This is by far one of the most motivating and fun aspects of each lesson (5 minutes).
How does my child get private instruction throughout the week?
This is the part that makes these lessons so valuable!
1. Your child posts a playing example before the next lesson.
2. Mr. Keys will evaluate technique, rhythms, and notes and respond with text and video to help!
3. Your child can respond with text or video/audio at any time.
4. Your child and Mr. Keys comment back and forth.

- Spring class is a 9-month program and begins January 2025
- Group class times are Mondays, 4:00pm ET for 35 minutes on Zoom
- All individual instruction and help is 24/7 through our Piano Padlet
